Awards
In 2001 Jørgen Philip-Sørensen was awarded a British CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire). The CBE award typically goes to those who have a high profile role in regional affairs and have made a distinguished contribution in their area of activity.
On 3rd November 2006 he was awarded an honorary MA degree from the University of Worcester in recognition of his contribution to the West Midlands economy. This was one award he was very proud of.
In 2008, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, awarded him with The Order of Dannebrog.
The Order of Dannebrog is a means of honouring and rewarding the faithful servants of the modern Danish state for meritorious civil or military service, for a particular contribution to the arts, sciences or business life or for those working for Danish interests.
